At Lana June Health, she specializes in Classical reformer, barrel, chair, Cadillac, prenatal/postnatal care, chronic pain movement and relief, and Pilates rehabilitation. Offering a unique blend of clinical expertise and restorative movement.
Her philosophy is simple: movement is medicine

Pilates is an exercise that focuses on improving
flexibility, strength, length, and body awareness, without necessarily building bulk.
This is a method of a series of controlled movements performed on a specially designed
spring-resistant exercise apparatus (Reformer, Cadillac, or Pilates Chair, Barrel or on the floor/Mat),
and the sessions are supervised by specially trained instructors, like Lana.
Pilates is a resistance exercise, not cardio, but it might make you sweat.
Pilates focuses on core muscle strength and spinal alignment. The core musculature is defined as the spine, abdomen, pelvis, hips, and supporting muscles. During a Pilates session, whether it's on the machines or the floor, Lana will guide you to focus deeply on your core muscles, your breath, and the quality (not quantity) of your movements.
The objective is control of your mind, body, and spirit,
something Joseph Pilates called Contrology.

Pilates is effective in reducing pain and improving function and quality of life.
Exercises involve activation of deep, local stabilizing muscles.
These exercises are considered neuromuscular re-education,
therapeutic exercise or therapeutic exercise.
Goals become achieving optimal posture and balance in everyday movements.
Many Pilates exercises simulate everyday activities, which makes them perfect for injury rehab and prevention.
